All of these proposals have got me thinking back to my wedding day in 2008. I have such great memories of that day and had so much fun. I took an unusual route and hired a seamstress to help me design my vintage wedding dress which I wanted to look like a 1950′s Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday dress. I found the starter piece at a vintage dress shop in Columbus, Ohio and the rest is history! Here are some of my favorite memories from my wedding day:

Wedding Advice from an Old Married Woman:
- Get some fabulous makeup, go to a cosmetic counter well in advance and really let them play with some different looks for you. If you aren’t comfortable with doing your own makeup then hire a makeup artist for your wedding day OR ask a friend who is good at it to help you.
- Be true to yourself. Your wedding doesn’t have to be the same as all of the other weddings you have attended. Frankly, they can get a bit boring when everybody does the same thing. Do what you like even if it seems way outside of the norm. One example, bridesmaids don’t need to wear the same color and especially not the same dress and shoes (shocking, I know).
- Have fun and RELAX! You will have your share of upsets, I certainly had mine, but in the grand scheme of things you did the best you could so just relax and have fun. Go with the flow.

You must be rubbing off on me…I was looking at the pictures and thought, “Huh, that lipstick looks a lot like ‘Brave’.” Lo and behold… :)
You will be a makeup expert before you know it Anna! You have a good eye for color.
